Another steam railway fanatic Alan has sent us this photograph of LMS Ivatt 43106 catching the rising sun on the nose while crossing Bewdley Viaduct light engine on Christmas Eve. With 75069 the Flying Pig as operated all SVR’s 2020 successful Santa trains.

Heritage Railway magazine follower Rob sent this to us from before Christmas. He said: “A new locomotive arrived at The GWSR from The Barry Tourist Railway in the form of English Electric Type 1 Class 20 20228 [D8128].”

“It carried the orange and white livery of the CFD (Compagnie de Chemins de Fer Départementaux) whilst working in France before returning back home.”

“It was built in 1965 with a works number of 3599. It is pictured outside the Diesel Shed at Toddington on December 19, 2020. It is looking in very good condition and freshly painted.” Thankyou Rob!
