The two halves of the Great Central Railway – one in Leicestershire, the other in Nottinghamshire – are coming together for a special joint event on the 5th and 6th of April.
The Great Central Railway will be reunified with Great Central Railway Nottingham for the first time in more than 50 years as part of a major weekend of events in March to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the line.
A popular 69-year-old British Railways mixed traffic 2-6-0 steam locomotive will join the roster for the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway’s (GWSR) Cotswold Festival of Steam.
