The new Transport Secretary is being urged to take a fresh approach to the long-running rail dispute ahead of fresh strikes which are set to cripple train services across the country.
Rail operators have released timetables for reduced services on Saturday, when members of the train drivers’ union Aslef go on strike.
Train drivers at nine rail companies to stage a one-day strike next month in the worsening dispute, causing travel chaos across the country.
