The 60th anniversary of the opening of the world’s first heritage railway to be built on a greenfield site by enthusiasts is to be celebrated on Saturday.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has resumed full services following a period of reduced services to avoid risk of lineside fires caused by dry weather.
