TWO more photographic days on the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway will take place during the last week in May.
These days are run by Heritage Railway correspondent and Chinnor volunteer Phil Marsh in his sixth decade of railway photography, with proceeds going towards the new track and platform at Princes Risborough.
On Saturday, May 26, the theme is railways and wildlife and incudes a rear cab ride in a Class 121 ‘bubblecar’ offering a panoramic view of the Chilterns’ red kites and usually deer along the line. The day has two theory sessions interspersed with practical sessions to put the theory into practice.

Steam Dreams is bringing LNER A3 No. 60103 Flying Scotsman to Princes Risborough on Thursday, May 31 for a lunchtime circular tour and the 100-lever Princes Risborough North Signalbox will be the location for a half day photographic session devoted to the famous engine.
The largest GWR signalbox in existence offers unparalleled and uninterrupted elevated views of the Chiltern main line and the charter as it departs Princes Risborough. There is a theory session followed by an hour practicing from the signalbox getting ready for the steam special’s arrival and departure.
