Three Steam on the Barnstaple & Lynton line

Bagnall 0-4-2T Isaac storms the last few yards to Woody Bay with a mixed train from Killington Lane.

The spring gala on the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway over the weekend of May 14/15 saw the unprecedented sight of no less than three steam engines working on the one-time Southern Railway 2ft gauge line.

Locomotives in use were: Kerr Stuart 0-6-0T Axe (2451 of 1915), Bagnall 0-4-2T Isaac (3023 of 1953) and Bagnall 4-4-0T Charles Wytock (2891 of 1945).
