Sea bathers’ line marks KESR twinning link

THE 20th anniversary has been celebrated of a twinning link between heritage lines on opposite sides of the English Channel – England’s Kent & East Sussex Railway and the Baie de Somme Railway.

The KESR Norwegian mogul No. 376 and Chapelon Pacific No. 231.K8 make a bizarre double-headed combination.
What used to be a bi-annual steam-up is now tri-annual, and what made this year even more special was the anniversary of the twinning with the KESR, which sent over a Norwegian 2-6-0 No. 376, to be paired with continental coaches.
