Chasewater Railway
Chasewater Railway operates heritage steam and diesel trains on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays March to November, most Saturdays from Easter to October and certain weekdays throughout the summer. The Railway operates passenger trains from  Brownhills West and Chasewater Heaths stations to Chasetown Church Street, with an intermediate halt at Norton Lakeside . A round trip of nearly 4 miles. Corris Railway
The Corris Railway was the first Narrow Gauge railway in Mid-Wales. Built originally in 1859 as a 2’ 3″ gauge horse-hauled tram road, steam locomotives arrived in 1878 and passengers were carried from 1883 to 1930 closing in 1948. The Corris Railway Museum opened in 1970 and passenger services recommenced in 2002, with regular steam-hauled services returning in 2005, operated by volunteer members of the Corris Railway Society.

Head of Steam is located on the 1825 route of the Stockton & Darlington Railway. The museum is devoted to the area formerly served by the North Eastern Railway, and the railway industry of Darlington. Exhibits include Stephenson’s ‘Locomotion No 1’, and ‘Derwent’, the earliest surviving Darlington built locomotive, on loan from the National Railway Museum. Our project aims: • To build a new ‘Patriot’ steam locomotive to the original Sir Henry Fowler parallel boiler design, capable of running on the mainline. • To create the new Royal British Legion Endorsed National Memorial engine, named ‘The Unknown Warrior’. • To be complete in time for the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice in 2018. – Help us achieve our aim with a donation, sponsorship, or a loan. The new National Memorial Engine will be a unique contribution to the 2018 Armistice Day Centenary commemorations, and a permanent memorial to all fallen servicemen and women.

Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway
For the past 90 years the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway has been an integral part of the landscape of the Romney Marsh. Known as “Kent’s Mainline in Miniature”, our World Famous one-third full size Steam & Diesel locomotives have powered their way along the 13½ miles of track from the Cinque Port town of Hythe, terminating in Dungeness; a National Nature Reserve and one of the largest shingle landscapes in the world. With 4 stations in between, all within walking distance of a beach, our railway provides you with an opportunity to explore this unique corner of Kent. Coast & country walks, with all manner of wildlife & flora to be seen, cycle rides, medieval churches and iconic Lighthouses are all on our doorstep.
