Event organiser 30742 Charters arranged for John Cameron’s No. 60009 Union of South Africa to run to the museum to join repatriated duo No. 60008 Dwight D Eisenhower and No. 60010 Dominion of Canada.
Over the evenings of October 19-20, all three were lined up outside the museum.
Martin Creese of 30742 Charters said he wanted to thank John Cameron and the support crew of No. 60009 for making the engine available at short notice, the West Coast Railway Company for moving 60009 and Pam Porter, Richard Pearson and Anthony Coulls and the staff at Locomotion for all their support and the tremendous welcome we all received.
