The Railway Children play is still a massive hit
By: Web Editor
You reported in issue 155 on the early closure of The Railway Children production in Canada. While indeed it has closed early from its planned six-month run, it has still, according to the producers, been the longest running play in the last 20 years in Toronto, confirming Liz Wilson’s view that the show had been a success.

As for the British production, although initially intended for only a limited season to September 4, at the former Eurostar terminal at Waterloo, it has now been extended and is now scheduled to run until January 8.
It is understood though that this will be the final season as Waterloo is unlikely to be available in the future.
There is still therefore an opportunity to see this critically acclaimed production before it finally closes. Backstage tours, including the Stirling Single and Old Gentleman’s Saloon, also continue to be available every Wednesday evening at 6pm.
