Artists are to explore Shildon’s role in the history of railways in a new display at the Locomotion museum.

The Cluster Arts exhibition Track Across Time has opened at the Shildon venue.

The art group was invited by museum staff to create modern pieces which explore the site’s role in the railway story.

Tish Bloom, Carolyn Corfield, Vera Hynes and Michael Kusz are the artists on show with guest artist photographer Graeme Rowatt.

The exhibition until March 5. It can be viewed at the museum between 10am and 4pm daily, with free entry.
