How to send us images

So if you think you have a news photograph or video we may be interested in, send it to yourpics@heritagerailway.co.uk.

Don't forget to include your name and some background information as to what the photo is about and why you took the picture as well as much engine or line detail as possible.

You should also include your telephone number so we can get back to you. If you want more information please contact us on the above email address.

Terms and conditions

If you submit an image, you do so in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

In contributing to Heritage Railway magazine you agree to grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use the material in any way that we want, and in any media format. This may include in the magazine, online, or via other electronic means.

It's important to note, however, that you still own the copyright to everything you contribute to Heritage Railway magazine and that if your image and/or video is accepted, we will endeavour to publish your name alongside it on the Heritage Railway magazine website, and (if used) in the magazine.

For inclusion in the magazine, images need to be a high quality - 4Megapixel or above. For our website, images from camera-phones or above are accepted.

Videos should not:

* be more than two minutes in length
* have a file size bigger than 15Mb
* contain any copyright material
* contain offensive or ilegal footage
* contain anything other that the raw video footage (i.e. no credits or text etc.)

Videos should:

* be shot and owned by yourself
* be clear and well lit
* be of train, railways, trams, or related events
* be in .wmv, .mpeg, or .avi format

Heritage Railway magazine cannot guarantee that all pictures and/or video will be used and we reserve the right to edit your comments.

At no time should you endanger yourself or others, take any unnecessary risks or infringe any laws.
