'The Wheel Deal'
Help create the new National Memorial Engine
- a new `Patriot' for the mainline
The frame plates for the new `Patriot' steam engine were cut at the end of March 2009, signifying the birth of a `new' icon. Carrying the name `The Unknown Warrior', the engine will be the new National Memorial Engine, dedicated to all the brave men and women who fought and died in the Great War and in all subsequent wars. The new National Memorial Engine has the endorsement of The Royal British Legion and the aim is to have this in steam for 2018 - the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice.
To achieve this, The-LMS Patriot Project needs to raise a substantial amount of funds. You can help by making a single donation, a regular monthly donation, or by becoming a member. Please support The LMS Patriot Project and help build `The Unknown Warrior'.
