Gelert back on Welsh Highland main line
By: Robin Jones
The Welsh Highland Heritage Railway's Bagnall Gelert made a welcome return appearance on the WHR main line as part of a photo charter event on Friday, September 21
Along with the Apedale Valley Light Railway's Kerr Stuart Stanhope, the locomotive performed run-pasts between Porthmadog and Hafod y Llyn with demonstration freight trains.
Gelert's sister engine is currently undergoing restoration at Boston Lodge Works for eventual use on the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway.
